Motoring Law

Many of us take our driving licence and the ability to drive for granted.  Being disqualified from driving has far reaching consequences for most people, personally and financially.

These types of cases are mainly dealt with in the Magistrates Court.  More serious motoring offences are dealt with in the Crown Court.  Many offences can attract a term of imprisonment and most offences can result in a disqualification.

MOTORING LAW / ROAD TRAFFIC OFFENCES

Due to the specialised nature of motoring law, it is important to get timely advice from a lawyer specialising in this area.  Shah Hague Solicitors have over 30 years’ experience representing clients in motoring law cases.  We are often the difference between you retaining your driving licence or being disqualified.

If you have not faced court proceedings before, it can be a daunting and stressful experience.  Your case is our passion, let us steer you through the process and achieve the best outcome for you.

Whilst we are based in Sheffield, we represent clients all over the country.  Please look at our fixed fee price structure below.

There are many variables which impact on how long a case may take, so it can be difficult to provide a timescale.  Factors can include but are not limited to court availability, witness availability, complexity of case etc.

Some cases may require the instruction of an expert.  Examples of expert reports which may be required in motoring law cases can include: blood tests for alcohol and / or drugs, back calculation for post driving consumption of alcohol and / or drugs, intoximeter calibration, speeding equipment calibration etc.  Costs for such reports can vary but range from £300.00 upwards.  Much depends on the type of expert instructed.  Before a decision is made to instruct an expert, we will discuss the benefits of doing so and the cost.

Please contact us and speak to one of our specialist team who will be able to advise and assist you.
